2021 Toyota Tundra Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual is keyed to the 2021 Toyota Tundra specifically — the 5.7L V8 (3UR-FE), the cab configurations and the trims Toyota actually built that year — so the figures and sequences you work to are the ones published for this truck, not values carried across from an adjacent model year that happens to share the name.

Known issues on the 2021 Tundra. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year, and two of them land on the same component. Both concern the hydraulic power assist steering system: one covers JTEKT power steering gear assembly service parts supplied for 2007-2021 Tundra and 2008-2022 Sequoia, the other covers 2008-2022 Sequoia and 2007-2021 Tundra vehicles whose power steering gear assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly. In each case an oil leak may cause a sudden loss of power steering assist, increasing the risk of a crash. The third covers 2018-2021 Tundra vehicles, where the headlight electrical circuits may power the high and low beams simultaneously, and an overheated electrical connector can increase the risk of a fire. Owners have filed 30 complaints against the 2021 Tundra, and Toyota has issued 134 technical service bulletins for it.

Tracing a loss of steering assist back to a leaking gear assembly, checking a high and low beam circuit, or setting a torque figure on the 5.7L V8, you are working from Toyota's own procedure for this 2021 Tundra.
