Known issues on the 2014 Tundra. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year, and two of them land on the same assembly. Both cover the hydraulic power assist steering system: one affects JTEKT power steering gear assembly service parts supplied for 2007-2021 Tundra and 2008-2022 Sequoia, and the other covers 2007-2021 Tundra and 2008-2022 Sequoia vehicles whose power steering gear assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly. In both, an oil leak may cause a sudden loss of power steering assist, increasing the risk of a crash. The third is a wheels, lugs and nuts recall covering 2013-2017 Toyota Tundra and Sequoia vehicles accessorized with Southeast Toyota 20-inch Rockstar wheels: lugnuts that crack and detach may cause the wheels to separate from the vehicle. Owners have filed 115 complaints against the 2014 Tundra, and Toyota has issued 152 technical service bulletins for it.
