Both involve the hydraulic power assist steering system: one covers JTEKT power steering gear assembly service parts, the other covers vehicles whose power steering gear assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly. In each case an oil leak may cause a sudden loss of power steering assist, increasing the risk of a crash. A third recall, issued through Southeast Toyota Distributors, concerns the frontal air bag sensor and control module, where the front passenger seat occupant sensing system can be out of calibration. The fourth, also from Southeast Toyota, covers an inaccurate label that could lead to owners overloading their vehicles and tires. Owners have filed 214 complaints against the 2012 Tundra, and 134 technical service bulletins have been issued for it.
