Known issues on the 2001 Astro. The year carries three recalls. The one to know is the multifunction switch, which can develop an open circuit in the stop lamp or hazard lamp branch and leave both sets of lamps dead — a following driver then gets no warning that the van is braking or stopped. The others involve a replacement fuel filter that can leak at its connection and replacement lamps missing amber side reflectors. Complaints number 97, led by service brakes at 32 and exterior lighting at 15, which the wiring diagrams and brake sections address directly.
