Known issues on the 1999 Astro. Four recalls are on the federal record for this model year. One concerns the fasten-belt reminder, which may not sound at all or may stop sounding early, so the driver loses the prompt the standard requires. Another covers a replacement fuel filter that can seal poorly where it connects and let fuel escape near an ignition source, and two more cover replacement lamp assemblies supplied without amber side reflectors. Complaints total 156, with service brakes at 26, the power train at 19 and the electrical system at 16 — all three covered here.
