1995 Chevrolet Astro Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1995 Chevrolet Astro describes a van sold in four shapes and built around one engine. The engine is the naturally aspirated 4.3-liter overhead-valve V6 of 262 cubic inches, gasoline; the shapes are three-door cargo and passenger vans in standard and extended length; the trims are Base, CL, CS and LT. Sections follow the vehicle rather than the model name, so wiring diagrams, brake specifications and suspension torque figures are given for the exact body and equipment the van in the bay carries.

Known issues on the 1995 Astro. Seven recalls are on the federal record for this year, and three are worth naming by mechanism. The windshield wiper motor can quit when solder joints crack on its controller board, taking the driver's view in bad weather with it. A left lower control arm-to-frame nut left under torque can let the bolt loosen, fatigue and break, dropping that corner of the suspension. Fuel lines at the tank can loosen far enough to leak. Of 499 complaints, 104 name service brakes and 98 visibility, and wiper circuits and brake overhaul are both specified here.
