2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo puts a six and an eight side by side: a 3.5L V6 of 213 cubic inches able to run on flex fuel or gasoline, and a 5.3L V8 of 325 cubic inches. Both are overhead-valve and naturally aspirated, both live in the same two-door coupe, and the cars were sold as LS, LT or SS. Fuel, cooling and exhaust specifications differ enough between the two that each is given a set of numbers of its own.

Known issues on the 2007 Monte Carlo. The federal record for this year carries two recalls. The first involves an ignition switch that can move out of the run position while the car is being driven; if that happens, the air bags may not deploy in a crash, and engine power can be lost as well. The second covers replacement steering knuckles that can break through a material or design defect, with steering control gone without warning. Complaints total 42, led by the electrical system at 15, the power train at 12 and steering at 7, all systems documented here.
