Known issues on the 1995 Monte Carlo. Five recalls stand on the federal record. One describes a right-hand lower control arm whose ball joint mounting hole was machined wrong, letting the stud work in the joint, fatigue and finally fracture with loss of steering control. Another covers a rear seat belt anchor plate carrying stress cracks that can fracture under crash loads. A third addresses braking that arrives late on wet roads under light or moderate pedal effort.
