Known issues on the 2004 Grand Prix. Seven recall campaigns were opened on the 2004 Grand Prix, touching brakes, ignition and oil sealing. On certain 2004 Grand Prix vehicles the bolts holding the front brake calipers to the steering knuckles were left under-tightened, so a bolt could loosen or break and lock a wheel; 47,991 vehicles were covered. Certain 2004 Grand Prix vehicles could have the ignition switch jolted out of run, stalling the engine and possibly disabling the air bags. Certain 2004 Grand Prix vehicles from a specific build window could leak oil from the valve cover gasket onto the exhaust manifold.
