Known issues on the 2003 Grand Prix. Engine oil meeting a hot exhaust manifold is the concern in the 3 recalls logged for the 2003 Grand Prix. The supercharged 3.8L on certain 2003 Grand Prix vehicles runs its front rocker cover gasket hot enough that it could wear out early and leak; the naturally aspirated 3.8L on certain 2003 Grand Prix vehicles can shed drops of oil onto the manifold when the car brakes hard. Dealers renewed the front valve cover and gasket, and certain 2003 Grand Prix vehicles that had the original fix received an improved one later.
