Known issues on the 1985 Grand Prix. The federal record holds 1 recall for the 1985 Grand Prix, confined to certain 1985 Grand Prix vehicles in LE and Brougham trim that have power door locks. On those cars the driver's door lock switch could come apart when pressed and leave its electrical terminal exposed. If that terminal touched the steel cable for the remote mirror, it could short without a fuse opening, heat the cable and start a fire; dealers inspected the switch and, where needed, modified it.
