Stress cracks in the center rear seat belt anchor plate led to recalls on certain 1995 Grand Prix vehicles, since the belt system could break in a crash; dealers fitted a new center rear belt system; those campaigns covered 111,470 and 50,709 vehicles. Certain 1995 Grand Prix vehicles also had a damaged power feed wire at the washer and wiper switch that could leave the wipers intermittent or dead. Owners logged 169 complaints, with the hydraulic service brakes at 41 and the power train at 31. Of those, 22 reported a crash, 15 an injury, 4 a fire and 1 a death.
