Known issues on the 1998 E-350 Econoline Club Wagon. Sixty-four complaints are logged with NHTSA for this model year, the tires drawing the most and the service brakes and fuel system close behind. Seven recalls are also on record. A mid-ship fuel tank could crack where it meets a frame cross member on vans worked at their gross weight; the speed control deactivation switch is the subject of two separate actions for internal leakage and overheating; and wheelchair lifts added by converters account for two more, covering roll stop latches and an anti-stow interlock. Fuel tank and brake procedures are set out in full here.
