Known issues on the 1983 E-350 Econoline Club Wagon. The federal record carries eight recalls against the 1983 wagon. Two of them concern the fuel tank and its supports, attaching bolts that may not have been tightened enough and support straps thin enough to crack under normal load, while another describes lock wedges that could fall out and let an axle bearing nut loosen. Owners have filed four complaints with NHTSA, naming the tires, the power train and the engine and cooling system. Fuel tank mounting torque values, axle service procedures and cooling diagnostics all appear in this manual.
