Known issues on the 1990 E-350 Econoline Club Wagon. Two recalls are on federal record. The dual fuel tank selector valve could malfunction and overfill a tank until fuel ran past the filler cap, and the snap ring that locates the park gear on the transmission output shaft could fracture, so a wagon left without its parking brake set could roll away. Twenty-six complaints have been filed with NHTSA, with the service brakes named in more than half and smaller counts for the structure and the fuel system. Brake, transmission and fuel storage repairs are all documented here.
THE DUAL FUEL TANK SELECTOR VALVE MAY MALFUNCTION AND CAUSE AN OVERFILL CONDITION IN ONE OF THE FUEL TANKS, RESULTING IN AN OVERFLOW OF FUEL PAST THE FILLER CAP.
UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, THE SNAP RING THAT LOCATES THE PARK GEAR ON THE OUTPUT SHAFT OF THE TRANSMISSION MAY FRACTURE.
FUEL FROM REAR TANK OVERFLOWED TO FRONT TANK WHICH LEAKED OUT EXCESS FUEL. OCCURRED ONCE BEFORE REPAIRS. DID A SEARCH FOR THE ISSUE AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS A SECRET OPEN WARRANTY COVERING THE ISSUE,
