1994 GMC Safari Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1994 GMC Safari applies to a four-body lineup, extended cargo, standard cargo, standard passenger and extended passenger vans, all three-door, sold as Base, SLE, SLT or SLX. Motive power is the 4.3L V6 alone, a 262-cubic-inch naturally aspirated overhead-valve gasoline engine. That single engine keeps the tune-up, ignition and fuel content compact, while the procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics for chassis and body work expand to cover both wheelbases.

Known issues on the 1994 Safari. Two recalls are on the federal record. One again involves replacement central multiport injection fuel return lines that can leak at the bleed valve and cause a fire. The other is a labeling failure: vans left the plant missing the manufacturer's certification label and the air bag advisory label, so owners had no stated load capacity or build date to work from. Complaints are heavy at 154, with 44 on the service brakes, 33 on visibility and 17 on the suspension, which is brake, wiper and front-end work that this manual specifies in detail.
