2020 Ford F-550 Super Duty Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2020 Ford F-550 Super Duty pairs the turbocharged 6.7L OHV V8 diesel of 406 cubic inches with a naturally aspirated 7.3L OHV V8 gasoline engine of 445 cubic inches, on a chassis cab offered as a four-door crew cab, a two-door conventional cab or a four-door extended cab in XL, XLT and Lariat trims. Both engines share the overhead valve layout, but their fuel, induction and exhaust systems are entirely different, so the procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics keep the diesel and the 7.3L apart wherever they diverge and cover the transmission, windshield and wipers of the shared chassis.

Known issues on the 2020 F-550 Super Duty. Two of this year's eight federal recalls land on the diesel truck's automatic transmission. The torque converter damper plate was not tempered and can fracture, stalling the engine, and a washer can disintegrate and lodge debris in the Park mechanism; the windshield may also be poorly bonded and detach in a crash, and the wiper arms can break. Owners have logged four complaints with NHTSA, two each on the fuel and propulsion system and the power train. The manual's transmission procedures and specifications for the 6.7L diesel, fuel diagnostics and wiper procedures cover those systems.
