Known issues on the 2018 F-550 Super Duty. Only one of this year's eight recalls came from Ford; the rest from the companies that built emergency bodies on the chassis. Ford's covers the block heater cable, where water in the splice connector can corrode it into a resistive short; the upfitter campaigns concern brake lights that can illuminate without the pedal pressed and back-up camera monitors that can reset and show a reversed image. Owners have logged eight complaints with NHTSA, two each on the structure and steering and one on the power train. The manual's wiring diagrams for the block heater and lighting circuits and its steering and power train procedures cover those systems.
