Known issues on the 2005 F-550 Super Duty. Five recalls are on federal record for the 2005 truck, among them a steering gear whose piston may have the wrong recirculating ball tube retainer, leading to noise, higher steering effort and eventually impaired steering; a fuel jumper line on gasoline engines with an incorrect end form that can separate and leak; and wiring on 6.0L diesels that can cause stalling without warning.
