2001 Ford F-550 Super Duty Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2001 F-550 Super Duty. Seven recalls are on federal record for the 2001 truck. They include a speed control deactivation switch that can overheat and cause a fire, front seat belt buckles that may not fully latch, and a 7.3L diesel camshaft position sensor that can function intermittently and stall the engine without warning. Owners have logged 29 complaints with NHTSA; the fuel system leads with 11, tires follow with eight and vehicle speed control has two. Fuel delivery on both the V10 and the diesel, the speed control wiring and the tire and wheel specifications are covered by the manual's procedures, wiring diagrams and diagnostics.
