2026 Honda Civic Service and Repair Manual

In its second year after the refresh, the 2026 Civic trims the hatchback range: the LX hatch is gone, leaving Sport, Hybrid Sport and Hybrid Sport Touring, while the sedan keeps LX, Sport and both hybrids. The Si sedan stays on its 1.5L turbocharged four with a manual gearbox, and the Type R hatchback keeps the 315-hp 2.0L turbo. Hybrid models use the 200-hp two-motor system with a 2.0L Atkinson-cycle engine. Known issues on the 2026 Civic. One recall is on federal record: NHTSA's recall list includes the 2026 Civic Hatchback in campaign 24V744000, in which the steering gearbox may have been manufactured incorrectly, causing excessive internal friction and difficulty steering; dealers replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as needed.
