Known issues on the 2024 Civic. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers a power steering rack replaced under a prior service repair: if the rack was assembled incorrectly, the tire can chafe against the lower suspension or tie rod end and sustain damage, raising the risk of a crash or injury. The second covers the steering gearbox assembly, which may have been manufactured incorrectly, causing excessive internal friction and difficulty steering the vehicle. The third covers the driver's seat cushion frame, which may not have been tightened properly, leaving the seat unsecured and unable to adequately restrain the driver in a crash. No complaints and no technical service bulletins are logged for the year. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
Whether you're inspecting a replacement steering rack, checking the driver's seat mounting, or working through a routine service interval, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2024 Civic.
