Twelve cover aftermarket replacement headlamp, corner-lamp, and combination-lamp assemblies sold for this Civic that omit the amber side reflectors required by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108, reducing visibility to other drivers. One covers a headlight wire harness low-beam terminal that can overheat, causing the low beams to fail without warning. One covers aftermarket tempered replacement glass that fails to break into small pieces as intended, risking injury from shattered glass in a crash. Three cover the fuel system: a fuel pump electrical connector that can corrode and stall the engine without warning, filler-neck hose clamps with insufficient clamping force that can let fuel leak after a collision, and on the CNG variant, a tank pressure-relief device that may not vent properly during a severe interior fire near the rear seat. Two cover rear seat belt buckles that were improperly manufactured, making them difficult to unfasten after a crash. And one covers a damaged air cleaner box cover that can send a broken plastic piece into the intake, sticking the throttle in a partially open position. Owners have filed 1,128 complaints for the year, and no technical service bulletins are logged.
