Known issues on the 2019 Sierra 1500. Eight separate recalls have been issued for this model year. A software error in the brake control module could disable stability control and antilock braking while leaving the cluster dark, so the driver had no way of knowing. Battery positive cable rings built with excess glue could make an intermittent connection at the alternator, stalling the truck or arcing hot enough to damage nearby material. Seat belt pretensioners could vent hot gas onto the carpet and start a fire. Owners have filed 633 complaints; the engine draws 217 of them, the power train 128 and the electrical system 69.
