Known issues on the 2011 Sierra 1500. Five recalls stand on the federal record. Two of them describe rear axle cross pins that missed proper heat treatment and could fracture, shift inside the axle and lock it up without warning. Two more cover a front passenger inflator that can burst on deployment and scatter metal into the cabin. The last concerns supplied fire extinguishers that may clog. Complaints total 366, with 131 on the air bags, 48 on the structure and 25 on the power train, so axle, restraint and driveline procedures are the ones to have open.
