Known issues on the 2008 Sierra 1500. The federal record shows two recalls, both on the heated washer fluid system. One traces a short circuit on the heater's printed circuit board that could upset other electrical features, produce an odor, or lead to smoke and fire. The other covers the heated washer module igniting outright. Complaint volume is high at 471, and the air bags account for 269 of those, with 49 on the electrical system and 27 on the structure.
