2013 GMC Sierra 1500 Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2013 Sierra 1500. Three recalls are on the federal record. A pair of them relate to a front passenger air bag inflator that can explode when the bag fires, sending sharp metal fragments through the cabin. The third involves fire extinguishers supplied with the vehicle that may clog and not discharge. Complaints come to 167, with 44 against the air bags, 20 against the structure and 11 against the electrical system. Restraint-system diagnostics, body and cab hardware, and interior wiring are the sections most likely to be opened.
