Known issues on the 2004 Sierra 1500. Eight recalls are on the federal record. A fuel rail pulse damper retainer clip could fracture and let the damper work loose, opening a path for a fuel leak and, with an ignition source nearby, a fire. A hydraulic brake booster pressure accumulator could crack and separate from the hydro-boost assembly, throwing fragments and bleeding hydraulic fluid out of the booster circuit. Rear lap belt routing was faulted as well. Complaints number 582, with 196 on the service brakes, 153 on the electrical system and 45 on the steering.
