2018 Ford Explorer Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2018 Explorer. Seven recalls are on record with the federal government. A fuel pressure sensor on the turbocharged 2.3L and 3.5L engines could leak fuel because of an assembly error; the engine block heater could crack, leak coolant and short circuit when plugged in; and the roof rail covers could loosen and detach, a problem addressed by two separate campaigns. Owners have filed 724 complaints with NHTSA, most on structure at 271, the engine at 62 and the electrical system at 46.
