2009 Ford Explorer Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2009 Explorer. One recall is on federal record, and it is not for a Ford part: aftermarket seat covers made of heavier thread were sold for use on seats containing side air bags, which they could keep from deploying properly. Owners have filed 33 complaints with NHTSA, a small number split among vehicle speed control at five, the power train at three and seats at three.
