2015 Ford Explorer Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2015 Explorer. The federal record shows eight recalls for this year. The parking brake on trucks built during one period might not fully engage, so a vehicle left in gear on a slope could roll away; the rear suspension toe links could fracture, including some with improper welds, and cause a loss of steering control; and the halfshaft support bracket on 2.0L front-wheel-drive versions could fail. Owners have filed 1,774 complaints with NHTSA, most on structure at 377, steering at 345 and the engine at 141.
