Known issues on the 2005 Explorer. Three recalls are on federal record, none of them for parts the truck left the factory with. Two involve replacement corner lamps, turn signals and headlights that lacked amber side reflectors and left the vehicle poorly lit, and the third involves replacement tempered glass that might not break into small pieces in a crash. Owners have filed 568 complaints with NHTSA, most on structure at 153, the power train at 92 and the fuel system at 52.
