Known issues on the 2006 F-250 Super Duty. Three recalls are on federal record for the 2006 model year, none of them for factory-built parts. An aftermarket steering stabilizer kit can lock the steering when its foam ring blocks the piston ports; aftermarket welded rear lift blocks can fail and let the axle shift and damage the driveshaft; and replacement tail lamp service parts can stop working. Owners have filed 274 complaints with NHTSA, 102 on steering, 91 on the suspension and 18 on the engine and cooling.
