2001 Buick Regal Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2001 Regal. Six recalls apply to the 2001 Regal. One covered certain cars already repaired for oil that could reach the hot exhaust manifold, since that repair fell short; the improved remedy replaced the front valve cover and gasket. In certain cars the driver side impact air bag inflator could separate from its module during a deployment. Certain cars with sun visor air bag labels had a message area smaller than the standard requires, and new labels were mailed. The engine accounts for 52 of the 187 owner complaints and engine and engine cooling for 34; 5 reported a crash, 48 a fire and 6 an injury.
