Known issues on the 2000 Regal. Regulators have 8 recalls on the federal record for the 2000 Regal. On certain cars the driver side impact air bag inflator could break from its module on deployment, weakening protection and possibly hitting a rear passenger's foot. Certain cars with TRW seat belt buckles had buckle bases that were not heat treated correctly, so they could fail to restrain an occupant in a crash. On certain supercharged cars, a hot-running front rocker cover gasket could seep oil onto the exhaust manifold.
