Known issues on the 1992 Regal. The 1992 Regal carries 2 recalls. Certain cars with the four-speed automatic could have a reverse servo apply pin bind in its bore, causing slipping or loss of reverse, drag in drive, or a transmission that stays in reverse while the indicator reads neutral, so the car could roll backward unexpectedly; dealers replaced the transaxle where needed. Certain cars were also built with clear front side marker bulbs instead of amber. Owners logged 144 complaints, led by hydraulic service brakes with 54, seat belts with 30 and the power train with 19. 11 complaints reported a crash, 5 a fire, 8 an injury and 1 a death.
