Known issues on the 1987 Regal. Two recalls are listed for the 1987 Regal. Certain cars with cruise control and certain engines could have a cruise servo bushing slip out of position, which might raise engine speed without warning or let the servo rod catch and hold the throttle. Certain cars with the 200-4R automatic could have a badly formed manual valve link that might come apart, so the gear engaged might not match the selector and the car could be started in gear. Of 25 owner complaints, 16 concern hydraulic service brakes and 3 seat belts; 2 complaints reported a crash and 1 an injury.
