2022 Hyundai Elantra Service and Repair Manual

Hyundai built the 2022 Elantra around three distinct powertrains — a turbocharged 1.6, a naturally aspirated 2.0 and a full hybrid — and this factory service and repair manual is matched to this exact year, engine and trim, so every specification and sequence it gives is the one Hyundai published for your car, not a near match carried over from another model year.

Known issues on the 2022 Elantra. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the driver's front air bag: the emblem on the air bag cover may not have been welded properly, and a detached emblem can strike a vehicle occupant, increasing the risk of injury. The second covers the front passenger-side seat belt pretensioner, which may explode upon deployment in a crash and project metal fragments into the vehicle. The third extends the pretensioner defect to both front positions: in the event of a crash, the driver and passenger-side seat belt pretensioners may explode, again projecting metal fragments into the vehicle. Owners have filed 129 complaints for the year and Hyundai has issued 74 technical service bulletins.

With three separate powertrains offered across fourteen trims that year, the correct torque figure or service value often depends on which 2022 Elantra is actually in front of you, and this one is written to that car.
