Two of them cover the hydraulic power steering gear assembly — one for JTEKT power steering gear assembly service parts, one for gear assemblies that may have been manufactured incorrectly — where an oil leak may cause a sudden loss of power steering assist, increasing the risk of a crash. A third covers the power window devices and controls, where the sliding electrical contacts may not be protected by lubricant. Another covers the accelerator pedal, which may become hard to depress or slow to return to idle. One is an airbag recall on the front passenger seat occupant sensing system, which may be out of calibration. One covers the tire pressure monitoring system, where failure to warn of tire deflations is a non-compliance with FMVSS 138 and could lead to tire failure. Two more cover tire and rim labels: in one, a driver may overload a vehicle, which may increase the risk of a crash; in the other, the label does not meet the standard requirements. The ninth covers the front seat heaters, where a damaged copper strand heating element may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.
