2018 Audi Q5 Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2018 Q5. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the brake calipers, whose pistons may carry insufficient coating and reduce braking performance. The second and third both involve the rear wheel arch cover trim, which can loosen and detach and become a road hazard. The fourth covers a brake master cylinder casting that may be too short, risking a sudden loss of brakes (the electronic parking brake and its emergency function are unaffected). The fifth covers seat belt pretensioners that may not activate properly in a crash. The sixth covers the gateway control module, where a liquid spill or water ingress underneath the vehicle can cause it to shut down and suddenly reduce engine power. Owners have filed 200 complaints for the year and no technical service bulletins are logged. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
From a brake system inspection to a gateway control module check or a routine service interval, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2018 Q5.
