2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 works across five overhead-valve engines, from the gasoline-only 4.3-liter V6 to a 6.2-liter V8, with a full-hybrid 6.0 among them and flex fuel on most of the rest. Known issues on the 2011 Silverado 1500. Four recalls are recorded here, in two pairs. Two describe rear axle cross pins that were not properly heat treated and can fracture and shift out of position, jamming inside the axle and locking it, so the driver loses directional control without warning. The other two cover a passenger-side frontal air bag inflator that can burst on deployment and drive metal fragments into the cabin. Complaints reach 638, with 312 on the air bags and 65 on the structure — axle, restraint and body procedures all appear in this manual.
