2009 Ford F-650 Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2009 Ford F-650 is written for two turbocharged inline-six diesels, the 7.2L of 441 cubic inches and the 6.7L OHV engine of 408 cubic inches, in a Base trim medium duty straight truck offered as a two-door long conventional, a four-door extended cab or a four-door crew cab. The diesel fuel system and the rear lighting harness both appear in the recall record, so the procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics for those areas sit at the front of the book's usefulness, ahead of the routine engine and chassis coverage.

Known issues on the 2009 F-650. Three federal recalls stand against the 2009 F-650. On trucks with Caterpillar diesels, the fuel pump outlet check plug may be cracked and let fuel spray or leak, and fuel lines can crack where they fasten to the common fuel rail; separately, the chassis wire harness may lack a connector seal, allowing the terminals to corrode and the rear brake, tail and turn signal lamps to fail. One owner complaint is logged with NHTSA, on the service brakes. The manual's fuel system procedures for the diesels, its wiring diagrams for the rear lighting harness and its brake specifications cover those items.
