Known issues on the 2006 MPV. Two recalls sit on the federal record for the 2006 MPV, both aimed at the front passenger air bag inflator on certain 2006 MPV vans and divided by the state in which the vans were sold or registered. Heat and humidity can degrade the inflator's propellant, and the inflator could then burst when the air bag deploys, sending metal fragments toward the occupants. Until a dealer fitted an alternate inflator, owners were advised not to drive the van.
