One covers the cruise control actuator cable on vans equipped with cruise control, which may be broken due to insufficient strength; a broken actuator cable may be out of position and could interfere with the operation of the accelerator cable, preventing a decrease in engine speed while driving and increasing the risk of a crash. A second covers the frontal air bags, where some passenger air bag modules were not properly welded and may not deploy in a collision, so the seat occupant may not be properly protected in the event of a collision, increasing the risk of personal injury. The third covers the hydraulic brake lines on vans built without anti-lock braking systems: due to an inappropriate brake pipe layout, if partial failure occurred in the braking system the stopping distance of the vehicle could increase, increasing the risk of a crash. Owners have filed 73 complaints for the year.
