Known issues on the 2002 MPV. NHTSA lists 4 recalls for the 2002 MPV. Certain 2002 MPV vans with cruise control could have an actuator cable too weak for the job; if it broke, it could interfere with the accelerator cable and keep engine speed from dropping, so dealers replaced it. On certain vans with fog lights, bulb heat and vibration could work the socket and its wiring loose into the bumper, where the bulb could possibly burn it; a holding spring was the fix.
