Known issues on the 2002 MPV. Four recalls are on federal record for this model year. One covers the cruise control actuator cable, which can break and shift out of position, interfering with the accelerator cable and preventing engine speed from decreasing while driving, raising the risk of a crash. Two separate recalls cover the front fog lights: in one, heat from the bulb can expand the socket holder until, combined with road vibration, the bulb socket and wiring harness separate from the fog light casing and drop inside the bumper, where the bulb's heat can burn it; in the other, the fog light bulb socket may have been installed improperly, and under shock or vibration the bulb socket and wiring harness may separate from the fog light housing and drop inside the bumper, where the fog light can then burn it. The fourth covers the certification label, which listed an incorrect gross axle weight rating and failed to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 120 for tire and rim selection.
