1991 Mazda MPV Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 1991 MPV. Three recalls name the 1991 MPV. The ignition switch in certain 1991 MPV vehicles could overheat if grease on its contacts turned conductive, a fire risk; dealers fitted new switches. Certain 1991 MPV passenger vans were recalled over rear brake linings whose friction could climb with wear, producing uneven rear braking and early anti-lock activation; the remedy was rear brake assemblies whose friction does not drift. Certain 1991 MPV vans were also recalled over front belts from a specific supplier: a release button could break and shed fragments into the buckle, which might malfunction.
