This factory service and repair manual for the 1995 Chevrolet Caprice covers a car reduced to a single trim, the Classic, sold as a four-door sedan or a four-door wagon. Two naturally aspirated overhead-valve gasoline V8s were fitted: the 4.3-liter of 265 cubic inches and the 5.7-liter of 350. One trim and two bodies keep the identification work short, so the manual can spend its length on procedure — diagnostics, torque values, clearances and wiring — rather than on variant tables.

  • 5.7L V8 (350 cu in) — OHV, naturally aspirated, gasoline

Known issues on the 1995 Caprice. Eight recalls appear on the federal record. Two concern wheel attachment: lug nuts left below specification at assembly, which can fracture the studs and free the wheel. Two more are suspension failures — a rear lower control arm that cracks at the stabilizer bar attachment and a lower ball joint whose nuts loosen until the joint separates from the knuckle. Another describes a shift linkage adjusted so the car can be moved out of Park with the key removed. Complaints number 108, clustered on suspension at fifteen, electrical at fourteen and steering at twelve.
