1994 Chevrolet Caprice Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1994 Chevrolet Caprice specifies two engines, and both of them are V8s: a 4.3-liter of 265 cubic inches and a 5.7-liter of 350, each overhead-valve and naturally aspirated on gasoline. Note that the 4.3 here is an eight-cylinder rather than a six, which matters when reading a specification table. The wagon and sedan bodies continue in Classic and Classic LS trim, so the mechanical sections are compact while the body and electrical material carries the variation.

Known issues on the 1994 Caprice. Eight recalls are recorded. The load-bearing ones matter most: paint left on the wheel mounting surface acts as a shim, so lug nuts lose clamp load until the studs fracture and a wheel can leave the car; lower control arm ball joint nuts that were never properly torqued can loosen and separate from the knuckle; and the rear lower control arm can crack at the stabilizer bar attachment. Another covers an oil cooler hose chafing on the steering gear until oil sprays onto the engine. Complaints reach 196, led by thirty-three on the electrical system.
