Known issues on the 1994 Caprice. Eight recalls are recorded. The load-bearing ones matter most: paint left on the wheel mounting surface acts as a shim, so lug nuts lose clamp load until the studs fracture and a wheel can leave the car; lower control arm ball joint nuts that were never properly torqued can loosen and separate from the knuckle; and the rear lower control arm can crack at the stabilizer bar attachment.
