1991 Chevrolet Caprice Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 1991 Chevrolet Caprice works with a narrower engine choice than the years before it: two overhead-valve gasoline V8s only, the 5.0-liter of 305 cubic inches and the 5.7-liter of 350. Sedan and wagon bodies were built, sold as Base, Classic and Classic LTZ. Known issues on the 1991 Caprice. Eight recalls sit on the federal record. Several cover aftermarket combination lamps sold without the required amber side reflectors, which leaves the car poorly seen from the side. Others are structural or electrical: a rear lower control arm that can crack at the stabilizer bar attachment and eventually fracture, a ground-out at the junction block that can melt it and burn underhood wiring, and a shoulder belt guide loop whose cracked plastic exposes a steel plate that can cut the webbing. Of 169 complaints, forty concern the service brakes and nineteen the electrical system.
