1993 Chevrolet Caprice Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1993 Chevrolet Caprice is written for a three-trim range — Classic, Classic LS and Classic LTZ — on the wagon and sedan bodies. The engine bay could hold the 4.3-liter V6 of 262 cubic inches or either overhead-valve V8, the 5.0-liter 305 or the 5.7-liter 350, all naturally aspirated on gasoline. The trims differ mainly in equipment, so the wiring diagrams and body electrical sections carry the distinctions that the engine and driveline chapters do not.

Known issues on the 1993 Caprice. Six recalls are on the federal record. Four of them concern replacement lamp assemblies built without amber side reflectors, which reduces how well the car is seen from the side at night. A fifth covers replacement oil filters that can seal badly and lose engine oil into the engine bay. The sixth is the rear lower control arm cracking at the stabilizer bar attachment, which can end in complete fracture and loss of control. Of seventy complaints, seventeen name the service brakes, fifteen the electrical system and six the suspension.
